The Machine

Written by Isabel Steuble-Johnson

When Martha checks into an exclusive women's recovery facility, she's told the hardest part is asking for help. She's wrong. Surrounded by women who seem to be healing - until they aren't, until they vanish, until they come back as something else entirely. Martha begins to suspect that the facility isn't treating its patients. A feminist psychological horror about the institutions we trust, and what happens when the machine meant to fix you is the thing that takes you apart.
